Carpinteria: 1-Bedroom Cottages

Carpinteria Beach Cottages, each newly refinished in 2013, feature one bedroom, spacious living and dining rooms, and full kitchens. Each California beach cottage sleeps 4 people comfortably. Open floor plans, lovely windows, and dutch doors (no need for screens – no bugs here on the CA Coast!) give the cottages’ full size kitchens, dining and living rooms a comfortable roomy feeling and lots of light and air. Having enough space to spread out, relax, and read, play, and explore make these beach vacation cottages the best possible home away from home.

Have fun with our casual, even-better-than-home environment. Each beach cottage includes wireless internet access, flat screen television, beach cruisers, boogie boards, beach chairs, towels, and vintage games like twister for you to enjoy, giving you the conveniences of home, as well as everything extra you might need to enjoy Carpinteria’s beaches. Take in the scenery or enjoy breakfast from the front porch swing. Make yourself a grilled feast at the barbeque area, and linger into the evening chatting around the picnic tables. For the ultimate in fresh, pick fruit from our fruit trees – You’re going to need some limes for those margaritas, aren’t you?

Carpinteria is the perfect California town that still feels like a step back into the 1950’s. Anything you might need, from shopping, groceries, to restaurants are plentiful. So, whether you’d like to take a break from cooking and enjoy the best of California cuisine, or take your love of your own home cooked meals with you to the kitchen at the Cottage, you’ll find everything you need to make your stay a dream come true.

Want a more adventurous holiday? Take the train or local bus north to Santa Barbara (10 miles) or south to Ventura (12 miles). Step off the train within walking distance of either downtown areas, and enjoy even more of California.

“The cottage’s decor was so charming, bright, cheerful and large…great for a family! The sleeping loft upstairs has two twin beds, my son brought a friend and they loved it! Large kitchen, great for cooking….” – Stephanie S., Los Angeles (Trip Advisor Review)

CARPINTERIA CALIFORNIA

Carpinteria is a small oceanside city located in southeastern Santa Barbara County, California, east of Santa Barbara and northwest of Ventura.

This popular seaside town offers world class shopping and dining … as well as an abundance of nightlife. There are unique opportunities for athletes; surfing, bicycling, hiking and much more.

Carpinteria Beach is known for its gentle slope and calm waves in selected sandy areas but also good surfing swells in some of the more rocky areas. Seals and sea lions can be seen in the area December through May at the rookery in the nearby Carpinteria Bluffs, as well as an occasional gray whale. Tidepools contain starfish, sea anemones, crabs, snails, octopuses and sea urchins.

There is bird watching at Carpinteria Salt Marsh Reserve, established in 1977 and administered by the Natural Reserve System of the University of California. The Waldholme Torrey Pine, largest known Torrey pine tree on earth, is located in downtown Carpinteria.

Carpinteria hosts an annual California Avocado Festival, with a history extending back to 1986. Over 80,000 persons attend the three-day festival which takes place during the first weekend of October on Linden Avenue. The festival offers avocado products and locally made goods.

The Carpinteria Amtrak Station is located on Linden Avenue by the beach. It is served by Amtrak’s Pacific Surfliner from San Luis Obispo to San Diego.
